Pulmonary hypertension is a very heterogeneous condition, with pulmonary arterial hypertension being the quintessential diagnosis. Paul Forfia summarises the available treatment options and the new strategy of combination therapy. Adjusting medication based on monitoring right ventricular size and function is a new and important treatment goal. He also elaborates on management options for other forms of pulmonary hypertension.
