A Landmark Symposium: Inflammation in Cardiovascular Disease Translational Challenges and Opportunities

Apr. 28, 2017 - Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, Boston, MA, USA

April 28 – 29, 2017 - Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel Boston, MA

This symposium will address the latest findings on the role of inflammatory pathways in cardiovascular disease emphasizing translational and therapeutic potentials. Expert speakers will explain the most recent laboratory studies of the roles of innate immunity, adaptive immunity, and strategies for migrating these processes in the clinic. Topics will include the links between inflammation and thrombosis, atherogenesis, the pathophysiology of myocardial infarction, and the prevention of heart failure.

The symposium will also consider the interface between metabolic disorders such as obesity and insulin resistance with inflammation and cardiovascular disease and its mitigation. Aspects of anti-inflammatory pathways and resolution of inflammation under discussion will provide the basis of future forays into the modulation of inflammatory responses to reduce cardiovascular disease.

The symposium will feature an interactive panel of speakers to discuss approaches to surmount challenges to clinical applications, and allow ample time for discussion
