Bertram Pitt, M.D., F.A.C.C.,  professor of Medicine Emeritus in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan provides a brief update on management of Heart Failure with current evidence  with Mineralocorticoid Receptor Antagonists (MRA) for systolic heart failure (RALES, EPHESUS, EMPHASIS trials) and new and ongoing developments for HF with preserved systolic function , like the  TOPCAT trial, and development of nonsteroidal antagonist of the MR and potassium binding polymers.
