Combined hyperlipidaemia
Prof. Rob Hegele (London Regional Genomics Centre, London, ONT, Canada)
Recorded at the first PACE Lipid Master Class, held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on May 22-23, 2015
Prof. Rob Hegele explains that Combined Hyperlipidaemia is a common and complex condition, generally with a polygenic underpinning, as opposed to monogenic, as falsely suggested by its commonly used label 'familial'. The actual pertubation of the lipid profile should drive the pharmacotherapeutic approach.
