Dr. Tuttle:
Hello, everyone. I'm Katherine Tuttle here at EASD 2026 and excited about some new data being presented from the FINE-ONE trial. And for those of you who don't know, FINE-ONE was a trial of finerenone versus placebo in people with type 1 diabetes and chronic kidney disease and delivered the first new treatment for CKD in this population in over 30 years by clinically significant reductions in albuminuria that translate to true benefits for patients.
So here at EASD, especially for the endocrinologists and diabetologists, we're presenting new data on body weight and BMI, also by levels of glycemia, showing that the benefits of finerenone on albuminuria exist across the full spectrum of weight, BMI, and glycemia. So broad populations of people with CKD and type 1 diabetes are likely to benefit.
So thank you for joining me today for this discussion on what treatment of CKD and type 1 diabetes means for endocrinologists, and remember that finerenone is now a tool in your toolbox to reduce their CKD risks. Thank you very much.
